PURSUANT to an order made by a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Hamilton on the 9th day of November, 1931 notice is hereby given that all creditors and other persons having claims against the estate of the abovementioned Elizabeth t Clark Watt, who died on or about 13th day of .June, .1931 are hereby required to send in their claims together with J written 'particulars' Thereof to her executor THE GUARDIAN TRUST AND EXECUTORS COMPANY OF NEW J ZEALAND, LIMITED, at its office in Shortland Street in the City of Auckland on or before the 23rd day of December, 1931. Notice is hereby further given by the Exqgutor that after the 23rd day of December, 1931, the Executor proposes to distribute the assets of the deceased amongst the parties entitled thereto having regard to the claims of which the Executor has then notice and in such event pursuant to Section 71 of “The Trustee Act, 1908” the Executor having given the notices directed by the aforesaid order will not u be liable for the assets so distributed to any person of whose claim the Ex- 2 ceutor had no notice at the time of the distribution of the said assets. ESSAY OR SHORT STORY COMPETITION. Two Prizes of El 1/- and two of 10[6 ARE OFFERED BY THE WAIKATO INDEPENDENT, FOR THE BEST ORIGINAL ESSAY OR SHORT STORY WRITTEN BY ADULTS OR CHILDREN. The winning efforts will be published in our Special Christmas Issue on December 17 CONDITIONS. ADULTS’ SECTION: First Prize £1 1/-; second prize 10/6. Entries are restricted to 'residents of the Cambridge district. Any subject may be selected. Entries must be written in ink or (preferably) type-written, and on one side of the paper only. Stories or essays should not be longer than 1500 words. Name and address should accompany all entries. CHILDREN’S SECTION: First prize £1 1/-; second prize 10/6. Boys or girls attending any school in the Cambridge district are eligible to enter. Any subject may be selected. Write on one side of the paper only, and in ink. Efforts must be certified by a teacher of the. school, that they are the competitor’s own work. Essays or stories should not be more than 1,000 words in length. Full name and address, school, and age, should be written on each entry. We would appreciate tlie co-operation of teachers in assisting children in selecting suitable subjects. All entries for our CHRISTMAS ISSUE COMPETITION must be addressed to The Editor, Waikato Independent, and should reach this office-not later than Monday, December 7th.
