THE CAMBRIDGE BAND
MEETING OP COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Municipal Band committee was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening when there were present, Messrs W. White (chairman), T. A, Hicks, W. Meanie, R. Kingdon, S, M. Hall, 0. E. Gane, .J. Davis, and tho secretary, V. G, Boulton. Messrs F. H. Green and P. T. Glanville were granted leave of absence. Bandmaster’s Report. Bandmaster J. ]D’avis submittejd his usual monthly report which stated that the band had played out five times during the period. The average attendance at practises was good, likewise the attendance at The learners’ class was still being carried on each Saturday night, though’ no new members had been enrolled since’ the last report. Concert at Leamington. Arrangements were finalised in d’ofi'nection with the concert to be held at Leamington Domain on Saturday night.' Annual Meeting. It was decided that the annual meet-' ing be held on Wednesday, April 15, and that the committee meet beforehand. It was also resolved’ that it be a recommendation to the annual meeting that no nomination for vice-president or committeeman be accepted unless in writing or personal. Card Parties and Dances. The arranging of card parties and •lances was loft in the hands of the social committee with power to act.
