Aliss Noelinc Banks left on Wednesday to spend a fey days with Mr and Mrs Stopford, at Takapuna. Miss G. Canncll, of Auckland, is the guest of Air and Mrs Percy Canned, of ‘ Hinucra. Airs Barclay Farquhar and her small boy and nurse arc staying with Mr and Mrs D. B. Caldwell for some time. Air and Mrs Keith Caldwell and their three children also spent Xmas with Air and Mrs Caldwell. Mr and Mrs A. H. Nicoll, Miss Dunne and Mr W. H. Nicoli; who spent Xmas at the Geyser Hotel, Rotorua, returned home on Sunday night. Nurse'Hooker, of Hamilton, who has been staying with her sister, at Afatainata, has now left for a convalescent home in Auckland. Air and Mrs Joe Banks, of Horahora, who have boon staying with Mrs O’Roidan, races, returned home on Wednesday. Miss Mona Canned, of the nursingstaff of the Waikato Hospital, is spending the holidays with her parents at Hinucra. Aliss Nina Christophers, who has been saying with her aunt, Miss Christophers, of Bowen Street, for some weeks, has returned home to Rotorua. Air and Airs A. Lane and daughter ©f Devonport, Auckland, have' boon in Cambridge during the past week. They ere spending their Christmas holidays &ere. - Mrs E. E. Roberts returned home on Alonday after spending- seven weeks in a nursing homo in Hamilton, and a fortnight with Dr and Airs Douglas. Air and Airs E. L, Eodgerg. and family have' returned to Cambridge from J a fortnight's motoring tour of the I North, .the great portion of the holiday being spent with relatives at the Bay ■of- Islands.

Rev. Father M. Hunt performed the ceremony and Miss M. Petersen played ‘‘the wedding music. After the ceremony a reception was held at the “Triangle” tea-rooms.'Mrs McDonnell received her guests, wearing a gown of navy satin beaute relieved with fawn, and a navy -' bankok hat. She carried a bouquot~of autumn-tinted roses.

HAWORTH—WATT. A wedding of considerable local interest was celebrated at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, on Tuesday when Miss Eileen Rose Watt, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Jas. Watt, Hautapu, Cambridge, was married to Mr John Russell Haworth, of Cambridge. The Rev. Jas. Hay performed the ceremony and Mr A. G. Boyce played the wedding music.

The church had been attractively decorated by girl friends of the bride. A beautiful floral -wedding-bell was suspended above the bridal couple. The bride entered the church with her father. She wore a frock of ivory cclanese satin cut on classic lines, with a tight-fitting bodice and a widely-flared anlde-lcngth skirt. The long sleeves fashioned in points over the hands and finished with small satin bows, and the yoke and hem-line, were of soft silk lace. The frock was finished across the back of the yoke with a spray of dainty satin flowers. Her embroidered tulle veil, which formed a long train, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of Christmas lilies, roses and white heather.

In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Bessie Watt (sister of the bride) who wore a frock of floral taffeta, fashioned on the same classic lines as the bride's frock, but with yoke, short puff sleeves and hem-line of pale green silk net and finished at the back with a large not bow. Miss Hilda Haworth (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Jean Watt (sister of the bride) wore similar frocks finished with lemon silk net. All wore large crinoline hats to tone, caught off the face with pale green and gold leaves. They carried modern posies of autumn coloured flowers.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Cliff. Haworth, as best man and Mr James Watt and Mr Jack Giles as groomsmen. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Regent Hall, Mrs Watt receiving the guests in a frock of navy georgette finished with a georgette coatee to match. She -wore a navy Bankok hat and carried a posie of pale pink and mauve carnations. Mrs Haworth, the bridegroom's mother wore a frock of floral georgette with black taffeta coatee and black

hat. She carried a posie of delphiniums and sweet peas.

the reception Mr and Mrs Haworth left for a motor tour, the bride travelling in a scarlet ensemble of lettuce-green maroeain with Bankok hat to tone. Their future residence will be at Cambridge. .
