PERSONAL.
Among the district visitors to Cambridge yesterday on the occasion of -the Empire farmers' visit were Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for Waitomo, and Mrs Broadfoot; also Mr D. Stewart Eeid.
Ecv. J. W. Parker, of Cambridge, is at present in Wellington, attending the Methodist Conference being held therO; Mrs Parker accompanied him on the trip.
Mr F. Davys, senr., of Hautapu, who has been ill for some time, is at present spending a holiday at Thornton's Bay, Thames ; for the benefit of" his health.
Mr and Mrs Frank Penn, accompanied by Miss Penn (Christchurch) and Miss Marjorie Penn, returned to Cambridge on Tuesday evening, after a fortnight's holiday at Thornton's Bay, Thames Coast.
Telegraphed advice was received in Cambridge this morning to the effect that Ecv. J. W. Parker was set down for reappointment to Cambridge, in the second draft of stations, with supply if necessary, while Ecv. Gordon Parker is to have a year's rest. The second and final draft of stations will, it is understood, be confirmed to-morrow.
