PICNICS

METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOLS. HAMILTON AND CAMBRIDGE. The combined Methodist Sunday Schools of St. Paul's, Cambridge, St. Paul % Hamilton, and Claud elands, hold a combined picnic at the showground* on Saturday in perfect weather,.there being a large attendance.

The visitors arrived by train about 11 o'clock, being deposited at Taylor's crossing, and the local children were convoyed out by motor lorry. Games were indulged in during the morning, and in the afternoon each school ran off their races separately. At tea Mr James Treloar, superintendent of St. Paul's, Hamilton, briefly rfhanked the Cambridge School for making such splendid arrangements for the [ •day, and hoped that next year the Cam- j bridge School would join them in a river picnic to Ngaruawahia. Mr E. J. Easter, Cambridge superintendent, suitr :ably responded. KATPAKI SCHOOL. In continuation of the report of the IRaipaki School picnic, held last Friday, the list of events was held over from Saturday's issue owing to the pressure on space. The committeemen responsible for the arrangements were: Messrs Hodgson (chairman), T. Searle, Garmonsway, Daisley and Findlay. Mr Hodgson thanked all those who had in any way to make the , picnic a success; also Mr R. G. Speake for the use of his paddock, and the

shopkeepers of Ohaupo and Cambridge for contributions.
