PINNER FOR N.Z V.C’S
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S INVITATION. TO DINE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Governor-General has invited the seven holders of the Victoria Cross living in New Zealand to dine with him' •at Government House on Saturday, November Q, on the occasion of the Prince Wales ’ dinner to the V.C.’s of the Empire. The names of the seven are: Captain Jj. W. Andrew, Wellington; Lieutenant JR. 8. Judson, D.C.M., M.M., New Plymouth; S. Frickldton, Wellington; C. K. Q. Bassett, Pacroa; J. G. Grant, Ha•wera; Sergeant H. J. Laurent, Hawera; Private J. Crichton, Auckland. It is announced that the Government will bear the expenses of transport to Wellington, and the visiting holders will be the guests of the Government -at the Royal Oak Hotel during their Stay in Wellington. After dining with 1 Jhis Excellency, the V.C.’s'will attend the annual reunion of the Wellington ‘Regiment, which is to be held on the aMfflte evening.
