SUICIDE AT WAITOA. AFTER A DRUNKEN BOUT, MAN CUTS HIS THROAT. © (By Telegraph—Press Association). TE AROHA, This Day. At an inquest held yesterday before Mr J. Motley, coroner, concerning the death of James Alexander Hamilton, who committed suicide the previous day at Waitoa, evidence was given by hi 3 brother, John Hamilton, blacksmith, of Te Kuiti, who stated deceased was alWays bright and cheerful. He was a single man of 33 years, and had been living in Waitoa for three years. He had occasional drinking bouts. Deceased’s employer stated that Hamilton on his return from a holiday, was suffering from the effects of a drinking bout. On Tuesday he locked himself in an oxithousc, and was found lying in a pool of blood with his throat cut. The verdiet was that deceased committed suicide by cutting his throat with a razor on November 5 at Waitoa.
