CRICKET
SENIOR B MATCH.
CAMBEIDGE V. OLD BOYS,
Cambridge were successful in their first match in the senior B grade, when then defeated Old Boys at Sc'ddon Park, Hamilton, by 8 wickets, thus securing a four-point win. In their first innings Old Boys scored 71, and Cambridge replied with 126—Garrard making 44 and Bright 32, while other members compiled quite useful scores. In their second innings Old Boys again made 71, leaving Cambridge 17 runs to get for a fourpoint win. This they did with the loss
of two wickets. Old Boys in a. sporting manner consented to let Cambridge have their innings and .at 5 p.m. they had compiled 196 for 8 wickets. Garrard retired after making 100 in good style. His score included 7 sixes and 7 fours. Bright in the second made 37 and several others ran into double figures of a less value. • / The following is the detailed result:— * OLD BOYS. —First Innings.
