CROQUET. On Friday afternoon of last’ week Mrs.' Hopkirk had an afternoon at her residence for the Cambridge Croquet Club to present the trophies won during the season. There was a large attendance of the members, and several competitions were indulged in. The winners of the trophies were:— Championship, Miss Brann; junior championship, Mrs. jas. Watt; handicap single (presented by Mrs. Francis), Mrs. Boyce 1, Mrs. Hardy 2; handicap doubles (presented by Mrs. Clarke;. Auckland), Mrs. Hall and Mrs. J. Bussell; mectal-play (presented by Mrs. Murray), Mrs. Hardy; medal play sented by Miss Brann); Mrs. Watt: TW trophies, during the afternoon were won by-’Mcsdames Cowling and Hardy. vicar, of St. Andrew’s, Cambridge. ’ The bride was daintily attired in a model frock of pale pink ninon with overlapping panels, each panel embossed with velvet lilies; she wore the orthodox veil, of tulle and orange blossoms. In attendance as bridesmaids were her sislcr, Miss Letlia Tapp, wearing a powder blue georgette frock embroidered with pink, blue and silver; and Miss Sybil Giles, sister of the bridegrooih ,attired in pale green georgette. Both bridesmaids wore tulle caps trimmed with silver leaves, and carried 1 bouquets of roses and daffodils. Mr. Ivan Giles, the bridegroom’s brother, carried out the duties of best man, while Mr. Edward Hand was grooms-

man. Appropriate music during the ceiomony was played by Miss Zoo Turnwald. Later a reception was held at the Ohaupo Hotel, .where the health, of the happy couple , was enthusiastically honoured. Mr. and Mrs. Giles later left for Auckland on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a tailored beige costume, with hat to tone and fox furs. • PERROTT—DANIELL. , On Wednesday of last week the Te Awamutu Methodist Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding, “When Ernest Cameron Perrott, second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Perrott, of New Plymouth, was married to Gwendolyn Purnell Danicll, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Daniell, of “Penwain,” Te Mawhai. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Wills. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked especially charming in a gown of ivory georgette with deep points of .silver lace and a circular veil of beautifully-em-broidered Brussels lace, held in place with a circlet of pearls, finished with a cluster of orange blossom. The bride’s bouquet gloriously pretty gift of hot-house orchids and maidenhair fern, finished with white satin streamers: The bridesmaid, Mis.s Helen Daniell' (sister of the bride), jwpre a pretty frock of periwinkle blue silk georgette .finished with silk spray and buckle. Her bouquet yvas of pink carnations and hsparagus fern, with pink satin streamers. Mr, W. Robson, of Dcvonpopt, , late.. of Cambridge, to Mr. Gordon Hpnfy Cullen, eldest son. of Air. and Mrs, George H. Cullen, of Maungaturoto. The Hcv. T. Flower .officiated. The bride, who was given away by Air. J. Harrison, of Waikickic, wore a erehm cvepe-dc-chine frock with silk lace panels and roll collar also of silk •lace. - Her embroidered tulle veil was arranged under a wreath of errange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of white and pink blossoms, intermingled with asparagus and ferns. Mis 3 Ella Cullen and Miss Vera Cullen, both sisters of the bridegroom, attended as bridesmaids. The first bridesmaid wore tangerine .crepe dc chine and the second bridesmaid was in pale blue crepe de chine. Both carried bouquets to tone.
