PEACE CUP CHALLENGES. TO BE PLAYED AS RECEIVED. At the Morrinsville Union's last meeting lengthy discussion ensued inent the playing of challenges for the Peace Cup, arising out of a letter from the Thames Union protesting against its challenge not being taken first. The challenge from Thames was re-' ceived on September 12th of last year. , Mr. B. Chapman moved that the chal- ! lenges be played in order of receipt, as in the past, but Mr. Campbell moved an amendment that a case should be submitted to tho Auckland Rugby Union, whether a challenge sent,in last season should take precedence over challenges sent in by Sub-Unions after their annual meetings. After much discussion the motion was carried by one vote, and a committee was set up to arrange dates. A committee was also set up to draft a reply to the Thames Union, exception being taken to their issuing a circular letter to Sub-Unions criticising the Morrinsville Union on the question of fixing challenges, when the matter had not even been discussed. ;\ MOASCAR CUP.
