An examination was marie by the police, but nothing was found that would help establish the man’s identity.

The body was that of a well-built man of about 30 years of age, sft Bin in height, clean shaven, with dark brown hair, and blue eyes, and wearing an artificial top set of teeth. The man was well-dressed in a striped grey suit, new Battersby grey felt hat, black shoes and socks and a heavy black overcoat. The whole of the man’s attire was in good condition, and did not appear to be the belongings of a tramp. The police made numerous inquiries, but the man is unknown to anyone in the district, while settlers stated that they had not observed a stranger about. The elderly Dalmation, who discovered the body, was in the neighbourhood the previous day gathering firewood, but noticed nothing unusual. An inquest will be held.
