CAMBRIDGE RUGBY UNION. WEEKLY MEETING. The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Rugby Union was held last evening Mr A. R. Harris presiding. There were also present: Messrs A. R. Thomas, A. Lynds, T. Dagg, J. Kecley, T. H. Hall, W. R. Edwards and the secretary. Otorohanga Want Match. The Otorohanga Sub-Union wrote asking for a visit from Cambridge.. It was decided to defer consideration for one week, on account of a reply not having at the time been received from Matamata. Third-grade. High School and Kaipaki third-grade teams were granted permission .to play the next match in the competition on Wednesday, 15th inst., at Kaipaki, Mr D. Walker to referee. Teddy Shield. The local Primary Association were granted permission to play a Teddy Shield match at Victoria Square on Saturday next at 10.30, Mr A. R. Thomas to referee. Fixtures. The fixtures for Saturday next were not definitely fixed owing to the committee having to wait until Tuesday evening to hoar from Hamilton whether or not they will send their senior B rep. team to Cambridge. The junior club competition will be continued and Kaipaki and City will meet at the Square. Leamington and Tauwhare will meet at Leamington; also City and Leamington third-grade. Visit of League Team. The chairman reported that with the secretary they had attended at the National Hotel that day and had assisted in extending a welcome to the visiting English League team. The action of the union's representatives was heartily appreciated,- it being expressed that although playing a different code the players were from the Homeland and were sportsmen.

Accounts. amounting to £2 0s Id were, passed for payment.
