Messrs Dalgetv and Co., Ltd., report a moderate yarding of cattle and sheep at their Te Awainut* sale on Thursday, prices were as follows: —Sheep: Fat lambs to 22/; shorn store lambs 11/3 to 13/; fat ewes £1; wethers 17/9 to 19/9; 2'tooth owes 22/6 to 23/6; empty ewes 11/; ewes running with Leicester rams, .16/ to 17/6. Beef: Light fat steers £7 to £7 15/i heifers £5 to £5 7/6; cows £4 7/ to £5 5/; rougher sorts, £3 15/ to £4; stores £2 10/; 3£-year Shorthorn steers, forward condition, £6 12/6 to £6 16/; Holstein steers to £6 5/; rough bad-coloured 2-year steers £2 15/; cows and calves £4 9/ <to £5; 18months Polled Angus heifers £3 to £3 11/; Hereford 18-months heifers £2 8/ to £2 12; yearling Hereford steers to £3; yearling- Shorthorn* steers £2 15/ to £2 17/0; bulls £2 10/ to £3 10/; dairy cows £7 to £7 15/; heifers M 15/ to £6.
