TOWN HALL PICTURES
TO-NIGHT—“WILD HORSE MESA” A double star programme will be screened at .the Town Hall this evening and both the principal films should make a special appeal to local film fans. The first is Zane Grey's “Wild Horse Mesa.” It is a gripping story of the West only as Zane Grey, the sporting novelist, can toll it. ■ The supporting picture is entitled “The Mystic,” a Mctro-Goldwyn production with Ailoen Pringle and Conway Tearlc in the leading roles. WEDNESDAY—“THE SPLENDID ROAD.” On 4 Wednesday the First National Production, “The Splendid Road,” will be screened. Many stories and many pictures have dealt with the adventures of the stalwart men. who crossed the Western American Plains in 1849 to seek gold in the Sacramento Valley of California, “The Splendid Road” concerns the romance of a woman who came to the gold country and after adopting three motherless children, proceeds.to face the rigors of a rough mining life with a determined, smile. The principals in the picture arc Anna Q. Nilsson and Lionel Baviy more -; /, COMING ATTRACTIONS. Coming attractions are as follows: The society “At A Glance,” to be screened on Friday, and supporting is the railway drama, “The Transcontinental Limited.” An extra special programme has been secured for next Saturday, the feature of which will be the English production, “The Life of Nelson.” This epic story of England's romantic pad will have a special appeal to children and adults alike. “The Life of Nelson” will also be screened at a matinee in the afternoon. In support will be the Fox film, “The Family Upstairs.”
