;v Messrs Dnlgoty aiul Co., Ltd., Ilamil.iJ&Ot report having held their usual [' -weekly stock sale at Frankton sa'eyards on Tuesday, as under: — There was a fairly large yarding of Ijvhecf, principally cows and heifers. The demand was good for all prime quality, ujlate values being firm. Lightweight rv steers sold at £6 to £7 12/G; choice ’ prime young cows and heifers £5 15/ to |7 5/; ordinary prime cows £4 .10/ to i-5 15/; inferior £3 10/ to £4 5/; runi: vers £2 15 /to £.3 17/6., Only a few store cattle yarded. A line of sixty o #»d 4-ycar steers from Raglan did not ■' reach owner’s reserve, and wore all passed in. A line of 17 2-year steers made £4 6/; store cows made 30/ to. ’A 50/; hulk at late rates; dairy cows £4 to £6 15/; heifers £4 to £4 10/. There was A very large yarding- of sheep, ■ every pen and yard being full—about ■BOOO being yarded. Our entry consist•r ed of 5600 sheep. Fat sheep sold at late rates. Prime fat wethers made up y to 24/0; prime ewes 15/ to 16/6; wool-. ly fat lambs 21/ to 26/6; shorn lambs f (fat) IS/6. Pigs: A large yarding of both .fats aid. stores. fats sold at improved rates, while .•stores sold at late rates. New' Zealand Loan and Marcantile Agency Co., Ltd,, Hamilton, report:— At the Hamilton sale on Tuesday last beef was penned in large numbers, and although there was steady competition last week’s values were not maintained., Fat sheep sold on a ■par with the previous market. Store sheep, especially breeding ywes, sold exceptionally well. We quote: Prime fat heavy cows £6 15/ to £7 .10/; ordinary fat cows £1 17/ to £5 14/; light and unfinished cows £$ 15/ to £4 9/; boner cows £2 10/ to £3 3/; heavy bulls £4 to £4 10/; dairy cows £5 10/ to' £6; heifers £5 to £7; fat, wethers £1 3/3 to £1 4/2; medium fat lambs £1; forward woolly lambs JB/; good shorn store lambs 13/6. A .rood yarding of fat and store pigs came forward. Fat. pigs met with bettor competition than late sales.
