TO-NIGHT—“A SLAVE OF FASHION.” Women, since the time of Mother Eve, have stoutly declared that they never have anything to wear. Katherine Emerson, of South Belle, lowa, ?s no different from her millions of sisters. Tiring of the poverty and dullness which surround her, she leaves for Now York to gratify her longing for clothes, finery and the sparkling gaiety of tho metropolis. . Her rise to luxury and wealth through imposture provides the delightful theme of “A Slave of Fashion,)) to bo screened at the Town Hall this evening. WEDNESDAY —‘‘LITTLE OLD NEW YORK.” In “Little Old New- York,” to be screened on Wednesday evening, and adapted from Rida Johnson Young’s successful play by Luther Reed, Marion Davies, in the leading role gives a further demonstration of her ability as a silver sheet artist. Miss Davies acts the role of Patricia O’Day, masquerading us her dead brother Pat, in order to inherit a large fortune loft by an uncle in New York. Tho production is weR arranged and tho acting of Miss Davies is the outstanding feature. • ferral to elsewhere, Mr Reid again congratulated tho farmers of the district on the splendid gathering that day, trusted they would have a right happy and profitable time, and then declared the picnic formally opened.
