THIRD GRADE MATCH. CAMBRIDGE EASILY DEFEATS MATAMATA. As" a curtain-raiser to the Boyce Cup match at Victoria Square on Saturday afternoon, Cambridge third-grade reps, easily defeated Matamata by 21 points to 10.. The teams were as follows: —

Cambridge.—Richmond, C. Haworth, Shaw, Mahood, Hair, Morse, Byrne, Nicholson. Wallace, Gibbons, Collis, MeLeish, Chubb, .Tarrctt and Hooker. . Matamata.—Collins, West, Carroll, Harrison, Blackburn, Forsman, White, Fitzgerald, Watson, Paul, Clothier, Forsman, Ncames, Hills and Campbell. The game was an interesting one in which tho local boys had all the best of play throughout. The half-time score was: Cambridge 12, Matamata 4.

For Cambridge tries were scored by Mahood (2), Cliff Haworth .(2), Chubb, Gibbons and Nicholson. Not one try was converted.

For Matamata Blackburn potted a field goal. Clothier scored a try and Fitzgerald lacked a penalty goal. Dr Tod refcrccd.
