WINTER SHOW CUP. FIRST AND SECOND ROUNDS. At the St. Andrew's links on Wednesday the first round of tho Winter Show Cup was commenced. The competition is decided on match play on Club handicaps:— First Bound. Banks (Cambridge) beat Lamb (Maungakiekie), ?, and 1; Bray (Paeroa) beat Fleming (To Awamutu), 3 and 1: Brown (Hamilton) beat Shepherd (Hamilton), 4 and 3; P. Morpeth (Waihi) heat H. T. Gillies (Hamilton), 4 and 3; Ellis (Hamilton) beat Simpson (Hamilton), 7 and 5; Cameron (Hamilton) beat Searle (Hamilton), 7 and 5; Harding (Matamata) beat Western (Hamilton), 5 and 3. Second Bound. Banks (Cambridge) beat Bray (Paeroa), 4 and 2; T. Morpeth (Waihi) boat Brown (Auckland), 1 up; G. Morpeth (Hamilton) beat O. S. Ellis (Hamilton) 2 and 1; Cameron (Hamilton) beat Harding (Matamata), 3 and 2. Semi-Finals. In the semi-finals T. Morpoth defeated Banks by 2 up and 1 to play, and Cameron beat G. Morpeth by 4 and 3. Cup ilnal. Tho final was played yesterday morning over 18 holos, when Morpeth was victorious over L. G. Cameron by 5 up and i to play. Bogey Handicap.

The bogey tio on Wednesday between J. Banks (Cambridgo) and Western (Hamilton) was played off, rosulting in a win for Western, 2 down.
