Rev. lb .T. Metcalfe, missionary from the Solomon Islands, was in Cambridge on Saturday and Sunday, and conducted the service at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on Sunday morning.
Rev. Grainger Hargreaves, of Pngland, who visited New Zealand for the Methodist Centenary Conference, intends retiring from the active ministry next month.
Rev. ,T. 6. McArthur has been indisposed during the past few days, and was unable to take his appointments on Sunday last. He is now much improved. and hopes to be about again in a few days 7 time.
One of the early settlers of the Thames died at Te Aroba on Thursday night last, in the person of Mrs Margaret Bowie, wife of Mr Robert Bowie. She had resided in New Zealand, the greater part of the time si Thames, for fifty veal’s, and was <S4 years o\ age-
