The method of sight testing practised by Russell Ltd. is precisely the same as is now adopted in all the leading eye hospitals of Great Britain and Europe. No charts are used. The diagnosis is* not based upon the answers of the patient. The visoptometre and the ophthalmoscope are the instruments used. Russell Ltd. have a wide connection in Auckland City, Mr Russell, the principal, being an optician of note. He has' for over 2G years been a practitioner of opticial science and holds the highest degrees and qualifications that an optician can gain. He is the same gentleman who visited Cambridge some years ago, while passing through New Zealand as a tutor of optics. The good work he did in those days will be remembered by the many clients who then consulted him at Mr Hill's Pharmacy.
