HAWK— GANE f

. A very pretty wedding of special interest to a' great many residents of Cambridge and district was celebrated at St. Paul's Methodist Church ; on ~ Thursday afternoon last, when Miss Nathalie Gane, second daughter of Mr E'rank J. Gane, of Hamilton, was married to Mr H. Leslie Hawk, of H&milton, only son of Mr and' Mrs 'G. H. Hawk, of Tawa Road, Onehunga. The bride has resided for a long time iu. Cambridge, and made many friends, as was apparent by the large assemblage <, to witness the ceremony. The had been prettily decorated for the■ occasion, and Miss Hooker presided afc the organ. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. D. McArthur. The bride made a charming picture as she entered the church on her father's arm. She wore a lovely frock of pale pink charmeuse, trimmed with pink and silver tissue, her veil being fastened with a coronet of silver leaves and touches of orange blossom. She also carried a beautiful shower bouquet of pale pink asters, sweet peas and roses, with tulle streamers. The bridesmaid, Miss Eileen Gane, cousin of- the bride, wore a lavender glace silk frock) with girdle of pink and lavender crepe* de chine flowers, and beautiful hat of silver lace over lavender. She also carried a very pretty bouquet of flowers of the same tones, and wore a gold bar brooch, set with amethyst, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Jack Boyes, of..' Hamilton, acted as best man. After the ceremony a mrge number of guests assembled at Mrtand Mrs Alf Gane's residence, Williams Street, where a reception was held, the usual toasts being duly honoured. '

Among those present were the following:—Mrs A. W. Gane, aunt of the bride, who wore a mede marocain with Oriental embroidery, hat to match, and marabou fur; Mrs W. E. Clark, fawn georgette, beaded; Mrs A. R. Cox, peacock blue Jersey siik ,marabou fur, with gold hat; Miss Hawk, blue crepe de chine, w T ith mole hat trimmed with fur; Mrs 0. Gane, shot silk frock, with handsome velvet hat; Mrs J. Elempthorne, navy serge, braided with red and black, hat to match; Mrs -H. H. v Clark, gold Jersey silk in | black, with, navy blue toque; Mrs A. - R. Clark, figured blue silk foulard, silver and blue hat; Miss Gane, blue glace silk; Mrs Dixon, navy serge, trimmed, with Oriental silk, navy blue silk and tangerine flowers; Mrs L. Gane, fugi costume, with browa hat;, Mrsßartleet navy armure, navy and gold hat; MrsC. J. Peake, striped navy silk, biscuitcoloured hat; Mrs Priestley, grey cos- ■ tume, hat- to match; Mrs C. Hunter, a : . navy costume, black hat; Mrs Ewen . (Hamilton), fawn spongecloth, and gold hat; Miss Walkor, reseda crepe de chine; Miss Haselden,jnavy embroidered frock; Miss Spencer, heliotrope crepe de chine, black, hat; Miss Sawle, sea blue eolienne, black hatj Miss L. Reynolds, reseda fugi silk, with henna hat; Miss D. Clark,, creme gabardine frock, with black hat; Miss T. Clark, green crepe de chine, white hat; Miss Jean Priestley, pale blue,' ninon. white hat; Miss Lorraine Bartleet,. kingfisher blue Jersey silk. The gentlemen present, were: Messrs G. E. Clark, A. W. Gane,, E.. J. Gane r L. Gane, 0. E. Gane, W. E. Clark, H. H. Clark, A. R. Clark, A. R. Cox, G*E. Gane, A. L. Clark, C. EL. Priestley.. The newly-wedded couple left during the afternoon by motor, for their honeymoon. The bride's going,-away dress was of nigger brown cloth, trimmed with mole fur. She also wore,a flamecoloured hat, with berries,, and marabou fur. /'.', .■',.'.

Mr and Mrs HawJs, who carry with them the very best wishes; of a wide circle of friends, will take up residence in Hamilton. '
