(Received 12 noon.) OTTAWA, Jan. 10. At Windsor, Ontario, Judge Coughlan declared the Ontario law prohibiting the exportation of liquor to the , United States ultra vires. Judge? Coughlan held that legislature has no .-i power to prevent citizens being'engaged in liquor traffic, though this might violate the laws of another country. BIG YIELD OF SUGAR EXCEEDS CONSUMPTION BRISBANE, Jan. 10. The output of sugar in Queensland, for the season that has just closed is estimated at 288,000 tons of raw sugar. This is the second heaviest yield on record for the State. The total Australian yield is estimated at 305,000 tons, which will be in excess of the amount consumed annually in the Conamon wealth.

Armed men held up the Dublin to Belfast mail train at Mount Pleasant. They forced passengers to alight, then sent tho train full speed towards Dundalk. The train was stopped by catch points. Most of the coaches kept the rails, but three toppled over an embankment.
