LAWN TENNIS
ST. PAUL’S METHODIST CDUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual general meeting in connection with the above club was held at St. Paul’s Hall last night, when the president (Rev. J. D. McArthur) occupied the chair, and there was an attendance of nearly twenty members. The balance sheet showed that the club had a deficit of approximately £6. Considering that only half subscription fees had been -collected lastly car, and that the whole outlay for/the tvyo new courts, fencing, etc../’had to be borne, this was considerejFsatisfactory. Bycroft, Martin Butler and Frank Penn; committee, Misses Williams, J. Arnold, Penn, Messrs T. • Cummack, F. Bycroft, hon. secretary and treasurer, Miss Butler. ' , It was resolved that membership fees be the same as last year, viz., ladies 15/, men £l, youths under IS 10/, girls under IS 7/6. / The committee was asked to make arrangements for improving the courts, with a view to opening the season as soon as eonvenienct. The prospects for the coming season are cheering.
