Shortland, solicitor, of Tuuranga, has announced that lie will contest. the Wakatipu seat at the general election as an Independent candidate. INVERCARGILL SEAT. Mr 11. J. Farrant has been selected as the Labour candidate for Invercargill, and has consented to stand.
