As an art publication and as an interesting and up-to-date pictorial journal, this week’s issue of the Sporting and Dramatic He view ; ’ is unrivalled, and can be confidently recommended to all sections of, the community. The Auckland Representatives v. X.Z. Maoris Rugby Match at Eden Park is covered in a series of snapshots at various stages of the game, and a photograph of the X.Z. Representative Rugby Football Team which left for Australia is of special interest. The Wellington Racing Club’s Meeting at Trentham is represented in snapshots of the concluding day’s events. Of oeerseas note are impressive photographs of the Etaples Cemetery during the King’s recent, pilgrimage, while ! the world famour “Passion Play” at Overamniergau .(recently revived) will make a distinct appeal. The centre pages are graced with a remarkable set of illustrations reviewing golf, tennis amb. boxing. The Review also has an exceptionally striking selection of stage and screen favourites.
