Everyone must have sometimes come across one of those men whose clothes, though far from new and often shabby, yet, contribute unmistakably to the distinction of the wearer. Hardly any amount of wear can take the fit or the hang out of a' good suit. The lesson to be learned is that it pays better to get fewer suits at a good tailor’s than to buy more suits of the cheap type. A good Suit is a good suit right through to the end, and a bad one betrays its quality very soon after the beginning. The difference in price (which, after all, is very little) MUST NOT be attributed to heavy profit-taking by the better tailor. Materials, linings, trimmings, and workmanship will all cost him more, and be worth more, than those used by the cheap tailor. But taking these thing's in order, it is easy to see that good tailoring is worth its price. An authentic Scotch tweed, with linings and interlinings of thoroughly good quality, and button-holing silk and stitchings to match, has nothing in it that is not honest value. As hand-work is not stinted, the suit will keep its shape, and as it was cut by an artist, it has a shape worth keeping. SUITS from £7 7/. HENRY H. McCATHIE TAILOR Phone 31G. CAMBRIDGE. Phone 316.
