SANITATION CHARGES

(To the Editor). Sir, —I notice that the Borough Council has increased the charge for sanitary fees from 26/ to 30/ per annum. Now, sir, I would like to know by what authority the Council i has made this increased charge? The fee now charged is as high as is made in any borough in the Dominion. In many towns the fees are much lighter, I believe, and I think there was no occasion for the increase. I go further, and question whether the Borough Council acted legally in raising the fees. —I am, etc., RATEPAYER. Cambridge, Sept. 10, 1921.
