SALVATION ARMY
"STOBY OP MY LIPE"
There was a large attendance at the Salvation Army Hall, Cambridge, on Thursday evening last, when Mrs Commandant Sansom told the story of her life. Mrs ,Sansom was, she told the audience, brought up to the Roman Catholic faith, by zealous Catholic parents. Sho explained the tenets of the faith in whieh she was instructed. Later on, she felt that her religion did not give her the help and comfort sho needed, and after careful thought and prayer for guidance, she became converted to the Protestant faith, and eventually became a Salvation Army officer.. Mrs Sansom gave details of the trials to which she was subjected by her people, owing to her change of faith, but stated that she had never had cause to regret the step she had taken.
The visitor is a fluent and convincing speaker, and was listened to most attentively. During the evening several musical items were given by visiting songsters from Hamilton, while the band also played. Commandant Sansom occupied the chair for the meeting.
