STILL POPULAR

THE “DIGGER” ENTERTAINERS

\ The return visit of the “Diggers” on Saturday last, again proved a' big draw, the hall being taxed for accommodation as on the previous visit. The programme proved highly popular, the various items securing encores in practically every instance. No doubt the hit of the evening -was the Maori piece with its scenic effects. The charm of this scene lay largely in the magnificent lighting effects, the successful use of which reflects the highest credit on Mr L. Morrin, the picture showman. Without doubt “The .Diggers,” by their bright breezy and clean programmes have caught on as entertainers. The great outstanding feature of their work is that fun is produced without resorting to vulgarity and as the majority of people are decent minded this accounts for big houses which greet the “Diggers” everywhere.
