FRATERNITY
A PRESBYTERIAN AND METHOD-
IST SOCIAL.
On Monday evening, a most enjoyable and successful young people's social was held in Victoria Hall. The Presbyterian Bible Classes had invited the young people of the Methodist Church and about eighty young people filled the hall as a result. The evening was spent in parlour games, competitions, and musical and other items. Among the items rendered was a pianoforte solo by Miss Campbell, a humorous recitation by Mr De Luen, and songs by Mr Cocks and Rev. T. H. Eoseveare. The hours of the evening seemed to speed away all too quickly, and it was with mixed feelings of reluctance and pleasure that seats were resumed in order to partake of the dainty supper that was provided. At the opening Eev. T. H. Roseveare, who presided, welcomed the guests and wished all a happy evening. Mr Cocks replied on behalf of the Methodists, and apologised for the absence of Rev. McArthur, who was unavoidably prevented from being present. At 11 o'clock the social was brought to a conclusion, and al! went home expressing themselves as satisfied that they had had a really good time.
