Mr J. A. Young, M.P., was- granted four days' leave of absence by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, owdng to illness in his family . Miss H. Russell, who recently resigned the position of assistant at the Hautanu School, hffia been sueccccded by Miss Faith Emmett, from the Aucichmd Training College. Miss Bennett took up her ncw r duties on Tuesday. Mrs A. Basham, of Cambridge, who had a very critical operation in the Hamilton Hospital two months ag'w, underwent a second operation yesterday, and is now doing as well as can be expected.
