TERRITORIAL CAMP
—: —*—— ARRIVAL OP THE MEN. CAMP AT CAMBRIDGE. The men of the 10th (Waikato) Regiment of territorials, who are to be in camp on the Show ground at Cambridge until the 28th inst.,. arrived by special trains on Thursday afternoon, and at once took rip their quarters. They marched to the ground, headed by the regimental band, and as everything was in readiness, they were enabled to start their miltary duties straight away. The camp commandant is Major G. X Rastriek, Captain Gibson being second in command, while Lieutenant J. D. Campbell is adjutant. The officers in charge of the various companies are as follows:—A company, Captain Melville; B company, Lieutenant Pountney; C company, Captain Levcrin; D company, Lieutenant Petchell. Altogether about 450 men are under canvas. The band is under the charge of Bandmaster Salter. The camping ground affords every facility for carrying out the men’s training, there being ample room for manoeuvres. To-morrow morning a church parade and drumhead service will be held in ' the camp if the weather is suitable, 1 and the camp will be open to visitors ' in the afternoon between two and six ' o ’clock.
