Town Hall Pictures
TO-NIGHT,
■ The following is a short synopsis of the two most important pictures to be screened at the Town Hall this evening;— “Billie’s Debut.”—Patsy only meant to have a little fun with Billy, when she gave him her best stage smile, but Billy had just run from his wife, and the little soubrette came into his life like a ray of sunshine after a week of rain. She couldn’t shako him, for he followed her to the theatre and waited after rehearsal, and her disdain only made him more eager. They persuaded Billy that the best way to get a smile from Patsy was to become an actof himself, and he was enlisted in the force of supers. Then they sent a box to his wife for the opening performance. Billy didn’t know she was comingj but he was afraid that someone might recognise him, and insisted upon a disguising beard. Billy saw her as soon as he came on the stage, but he felt safe hiding behind the whiskers, and all might have been well, had it not happened that the beard came off, and as luck would have it, it happened right in front of the box in which his wife was sitting. Billy had amused the audience before them, but what followed was funnier than anything that the show had ever offered. (Featuring Billie Reeves).
