Mr F. Bridger, a prominenOpotiki businessman, has been spend ing a brief holiday with friends in Cambridge.
The Rev, C. Mortimer-Jones, of St. Andrews, Cambridge, is to leave in a day or two on his annual holiday. -During his absence the Rev. J. Strong will have charge of the parish.
Last evening the Town Clerk (Mr P. J. Brooks) was granted a a holiday, Councillors expressing the hope that he would thoroughly enjoy the vacation.
Misses Barriball and Furze, recently of the Auckland Training Coll.eee, who have been appointed to the staff of the Cambridge West L School in succession to Misses .--. Stewart and Darby, are expected to arrive next week.
Colonel Smith, accompanied by Mrs and Miss Smith, of Christchurch, have arrived in Cambridge and are staying at the National Hotel. Cob Smith is taking part in the officers’ drill which is to be held here next week
Mr and Mrs C. Meredith returned to Cambridge from'Auekland, where they have been spending part of their holidays.
, Mrs F. Harvie and her two children left Cambridge yesterday, where she has been staying with her parents, Atchdeacon and Mrs Willis, for live-months, the Rev. F. Harvie having been appointed to St. Aldan's Church, Remuera.
Miss Ella Skeel, who resided here some seven years ago, has been here for a day or two, staying with Mr and Mrs F. J. Brooks.
Mrs Lee, of Waitomo, is visiting her? parents, Mr and Mrs F. J. Brooks.
Mr and Mrs 0. Euge have returned from their holiday at Wanganui, Palmerston North and Auckland.
