NORTH ISLAND EGG-LAYING COMPETITION

COMMENCED AT CAMBRIDGE Ist MAY, 1907. The 37th week of the competition promoted by the North Island Egglaying Competition Association, Limited, at Cambridge, was concluded on Friday, 17th Jan., 1908. The following particulars are supplied by Mr A. B. Trythall, secretary and manager to the Association : The number of eggs laid during the week was 1912, being an average of 23-82 eggs per pen. Total number of eggs laid since Ist May is 64,440, being an average of 785-85 eggs per pen. The prizes for the Summer Test, viz., eggs laid from Ist September to 31st December, were won as follows :
