CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATES. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on the 16th day of January, 1906, a resolution was passed—- “ That in pursuance and exercise of the Powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,’ and its amendments, the Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows t That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a Loan of Ten Thousand Pounds, authorised to be raised by the Cambridge Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes, namely ; (1) The construction and installation of a gas supply, £SOOO ; (2) The extension and improvement of the water supply, £1250; (3) A drainage scheme and septic tank, £l-500 ; (4) Tarring, channelling and kerbing streets, £1250; and (5) The erection of saleyards, £IOOO ; the said Cambridge Borough Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of one shilling and seven pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Cambridge, comprising 658 town sections and 51 Town Belt sections containing in all 1,083 acres more or less, and being situated in Block IX, Cambridge Survey District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-re-curring rate during the currency of such Loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 50 t >ears, or until the Loan is fully paid —USE—SPINKS ? AND PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby that the said resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held at the Borough Council Offices situate in Victoria-street, Cambridge, on Thursday, the 15th day of February, 1906, at 11 o’clock a.m., for confirmation as a Special order.
