SUBURBS v. CITY (JUNIORS)
The final for the caps was played yesterday, and resulted in an easy win for City by 15 points to 3. Suburbs possessed a noticeable advantage in weight, and relied upon this to carry them through. City, on the other hand, showed a superior knowledge in the more scientific poinLs of (he p-tino. The two tries scored by J. MeNeish were the result of exceedingly smart pieces of passing. "Webber kicked a pretty goal from a mark, besides converting one of his own tries. " Dick " scored the only try for Suburbs. Borne sensational runs were made by " Dan," who seemed to have the knack of disposing of his opponents, leaving them like so many knocked-over ninepins in his wake. On one occasion he crossed the line, but had the misfortune to be knocked into touch-in-goal. Mr Williamson, of Hamilton, refereed to the satisfaction of both teams.
