ITS PROSPECTS UNCERTAIN

; By Telegraph.-Special to Argus. Wellington, Wednesday. The House is not likely to go into I committee on the Licensing Bill until next Tuesday. The prospects of the Bill are uncertain, but its supporters, in view of the narrow majority in its favour on the second reading, are not oi'er sanguine. So far as can be learned, there is not likely to be much discussion in committee. It is claimed by those who have counted heads in the Legislative Council that there is a majority of about live in that Chamber in favour of the second reading of the Bill.
