The strikers have accepted the oiler. Received 10.30 a.m., 14th. Hobart, January 14, Another conference in the printing dispute has proved futile. Melbourne, January 14. A conference between the Steamship Owners' Association and the Waterside Workers' Federation was opened to consider the claims under the federation's new log, including a demand of two shillings per hour for waterside workers. The conference adjourned until Thursday to enable the employers to discuss the claim.
