HOCKEY

Contrary to adverse reports which have appeared lately, the secretary of the. Waikato Hockey Association, Mr A. J. Bond, received a letter from the N.Z. Hockey Association yesterday to the effect that the New Zealand tour of the English team had been definitely decided on. An informal general meeting of the assocation was held in Messrs Gaze and Co.'s studio last night, and a sub-committee consisting of the secretaries of each club was set up to arrange for the guarantee of £SO which must be deposited in the bank at Christchurch before March lilst.
