THE PASSIVE RESISTERS
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night.
The Magistrate’s Court was occupied all afternoon hearing charges against three passive resisters, John McTaggart, It. J. Wearne, and Jas. Bartall, for obstruction on Mawhera Quay by an address on anti-mili-tarism on 25th January. They came from Runanga to Greymouth and blocked the traltic for an hour. The point raised for the defence was as to whether the obstruction was caused by the defendants or the crowd. The Magistrate reserved his decision.
