London, November 14. A train at Hunstanton, the wellknown watering place, mounted the platform. The engine partially wrecked the station, and a carriage was telescoped. The driver, fireman, and several passengers were badly injured. • Indinapolis, November 14. An inbound Cincinnati passenger train crashed into a freight train at Indianapolis, telescoping the baggage car and smashing others. Sixteen passengers were killed, and fifteen injured. The wreckage took fire, but the blaze was extinguished quickly. The engineer of the freight train leaped to safety. The engines became interlocked end 1 on. An open switch was the cause of the disaster.
Police Graft in America,
Received 10.10 p.m., \4th. New York, November 14. Convict witnesses in the police investigation swore that the police assisted robbers and benefited by the procees. They were promoted afterwards for good service in tracing supposed criminals.
