The following will represent To Awamutu Bowling Club aganist Dunedin, at Hamilton, on Friday morning:—White, Clements, Laurie and Brackenrig. In a supplement in this issue appears an interesting article on the subject of motor traction, which is c;eating a goodj deal of interest in Hamilton, and in fact throughout New Zealand just now. It is well worth perusal. At a public meeting held in Hamilton yesterday in connection with the visit of the Canadian Cadets a motion was passed requesting the council to invite His Excellency the Governor to visit Hamilton or, November 23rd, on the occasion of the military gymkhana. A Press Association telegram received this morning states: “Mark Barton, aged 42, a widower, was fatally injured at Te Kowhai yesterday, being thrown from a trap.' On making enquiries by telephone this morning wo were informed that Mr Barton is not dead. He was unconscious for some time and this led the Maoris to suppose that he was dead. At a meeting of the executive of the Raglan A. and P. Association it was decided to hold the forthcoming stock show on February 21st. The question of whether the winter show should be held this year at Raglan or Te Mata having been submitted to a referendum, a counting of the votes gave 50 for Raglan and 14 for Te Mata. For some reason or other the greater number of members refrained from voting. It was accordingly decided that the next winter show should take place at Raglan on May 23rd. The stock show schedule was revised and will be published about the end of November.
