Auckland, This Day. An influential deputation waited on Hon. D. Buddo, yesterday, to make representations in support of the commutation of the dea th sentence ■on Kaka. The speakers included Mr A. Myers, M.P., Bishop Crosaley, Mr Hooking, of Napier, and Mr Hackett. Mr Buddo, in reply, said it was not a question of clemency affecting the position, rather a question as to the circumstances surrounding the case being set aside. He would be pleased to convey the rsprsentations of the deputation to the Acting-Prime Minister.
