Cardinal Moran, in opening a bazaar in Sydney recently, said there were some people who raised their voices against bazaars and fairs. In doing so, he considered, they were unjust. These bazaars, carried on in aid of the church, were a token and a sign of devotion. They had ample instances of this devotion in the schools, churches, convents, and other parochial buildings in their midst. These were monuments of their piety, energy, and devotion.
