DEPARTURE OF MR. AND MRS. BRIGHT.
By this morning’s train two of HamU-' ton’s most popular residents, in the person of Mr and Mrs J. W. H. Bright, left for Auckland, where they willreside in the future. During the ten years in which they have been in Hamilton Hotel Mr and Mrs Bright have made many firm friends, and their departure from the town will be greatly East evening at the Managing Committee of the HarnfftoOKugby Union Mr Gwynne, on behalf of the members, presented Mr Bright with an enlarged photo of the members of the Committee, and in doing so thanked both him and Mrs Bright for the many kindnesses they had shown to the footballers in general and to the Committee in particular, and wished them every success and prosperity. Mr Bright thanked the Committee, and his health was then drunk and Auld Lang Syne sung. Mr and Mrs Bright had previously received handsome present* from members of the Hamilton Bowling Club, and the footballers and all classes of the comunity will regret theib . departure from the town.
