CHESS MATCH.

The Hamilton and Ngaruawahia Chess Clubs met in a friendly contest over the board last Saturday evening, six players aside. Tho match was played at Hamilton, the visitors coming up the river by steam launch. Play commenced at 7 p.m., and with an adjournment for supper at 9.30 a.m. was continued until midnight, tho result being a draw, each side winning four games.
