AGAMEMNON is a beautiful dark bay with black points—the colour that cannot be beaten. Height, 16 hands, with plenty of clean, flat bone, and the best of action. He is remarkably docile in harness. The following h his Prize-Taking Record in the Show Ring :—As a yearling he was placed second at Timarn and second at Cbristchurcb, and as a two-year-old he met the same colts at Timaru and Chrlstchorch, and was easily placed first oat of a large ring. As a three-year-old he was placed first at Oamaru and first at Dunedin ; first at Timaru and first at Christchurch. As a fourxyear-old, first at Timaru, first at Cbristchurcb, and first at Oamaru. As a five-year-old he took first at Ashbnrton, fifßt at Christchurch, and first at Dunedin ; and in 1900 he took first at Christchurch, and first, special, and champion at Timaru. G Stead, Esq., Canterbury, and is a beautiful blood Bay Horse with black points, a horse of first-class conformation and quality, with plenty of size and strength in both body and limb, in fact it is very rarely indeed that such size and quality combined is to be had in one horse. His temper and action are all that could be desired, and his breeding could not be surpassed, as a perusal of his tabulated pedigree in the Studß ook will prove, be having come from the two greatest families that ever raced in New Zealand. He has proved himself a real sure foul-getter, and his stock are very promising indeed; only a very few thoroughbred marea have been put to him, and a good proportion have done well. He was a very good racehorse himself, and won, amongst other races, a six furlong race at Sydney in a field ot 32 horses, with 9st 61b in the saddle, in lmin 163ec, and what might have been a brilliant racing career was brought to an end abruptly by an accident to one of his knees. His size and strength, with absence of anything approaching coarseness, should make bim a valuable sire for either thoroughbreds, hunters, harness, or hack horses.
