SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. At the committee meeting of the South Auckland Racing Club, hold at the Commercial Hotel last night, Mr Coates presiding, the Treasurer reported that although there had been a falling off iu the totalisalor receipts this year, there would be a substantial balance after paying for the starting gates and other improvements to the course amounting to over £SO.
The accounts in connection with the late meeting were passed for pay neut, and the Secretary was instructed to take immediate steps for the recovery of all unpaid nominations uud acceptances.
Mr J. Beckett has purchased the hurdle and steeplechase gelding Rufus. The price mentioned is £l5O.
