The Boers sent fifty truckloads of ammunition to Delagoa Bay before they surrendered; they also burned much ammunition. Bennett Burleigh saw near the Crocodile River acres of damaged guu ammunition, damaged limber waggons, detonators and stores. He also saw at Komati Pooit hundreds of tons of damaged ammunition, a large number of broken rifles, tents, large quantities of damaged provisions and baggage. Kruger, yielding to the request of the Portuguese, persuaded Command' ant Pienaar not to destroy the Komati railway bridge. Twelve guns, the majority damaged, were found at Hector's Spruit. The whole railway rolling stoek of the late Transvaal Government was spread for eight miles along the Selati Railway line. The rolling stoek has been captured, and is all in good condition, except some burnt waggons and carriages. The Portuguese officials at Delagoa Bay have seut emissaries to the Boers urging them to yield. PURSUIT OF DE WET. FLYING COLUMN LEAVES PRETORIA. (Received September 27, 10.10 a.m.) London, September 26. A strong flying column uuder Delisle has left Pretoria in pursuit of De Wet. Each trooper has two horses, and double teams are accompanying the guns, transports, and Cape carts.
